Sustainability is another positive value in log house. Wooden house is made from renewable trees. Kuusamo logs are harvested from certified forests. Logs are carbon negative, meaning that since trees trap CO2 and this CO2 stays trapped in logs. Carbon foot print is negative while making cement release a lot of CO2 and bad for the environment.
Biggest benefit is that log house are very durable. Many temples in Korea and elsewhere are hundreds of years of old. In Northern Europe there are plenty of log buildings which are hundreds of years old. There are wooden temples in Japan and China which are orginally built more than 1000 years ago.
